Kendra Appling is a passionate advocate and empowerment speaker dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence and promoting self-esteem for women and children.
Raised in a single-parent household with humble beginnings, Kendra was instilled with values of resilience, excellence, and authenticity. Her mother, a steadfast role model, emphasized the power of education and the importance of pursuing one’s dreams with determination. Reflecting on her upbringing, Kendra shares, “My mother exemplified strength and taught us to believe that no goal was beyond reach.”
This foundation, combined with Kendra’s faith and passion, has propelled her to remarkable achievements: Founder/Executive Director of Awaken Voices Domestic Violence Services, Inc. (2024), Member of Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence GCADV in (2024), Member/Trainer SW-Atlanta Women’s Coalition, W.O.E (2024), Madam Media Chairman of the West Metro NAACP Branch 560D (2021). She also launched High Class With A Snap (2013), CodeBlu Magazine (2016), and High Class With A Kick, a professional kickball team promoting health and fitness for women (2015). She is a true force for change and a voice for those in need.
